A Biddulph man is dishing up a piping hot regional day of fun next month in honour of the Staffordshire staple - the oatcake. And Terry Bossons, (37), has a string of celebrities backing Oatcake Day - his tribute to the pancake's arch-rival on 8th August. High-profile stars including comedians Jimmy Carr and Ricky Gervais, former footballer Jamie Redknapp, indie rockers Vampire Weekend, and Jemaine Clement from the musical Kiwi comedy act Flight of the Conchords have all pledged their support to the oat-so tasty snack. The regional celebration of the "Tunstall tortilla" will roll in to the Sugarmill nightclub in Hanley where at least 600 "oatficionados" will watch local bands play at Oatcake Day Live.
