Choral Christmas

Congleton Choral Society’s Christmas concert is on Saturday in Congleton Town Hall.
There will be some unusual musical pieces by the choir in four-part harmony, and the choir will be joined by the choral academy for some carols.
There will be readings and carols with audience participation.
Christopher Cromar and Elin Rees, the choir’s organist, will duet on piano and organ for Sleigh Ride Fantasy.
Among the most-loved choral pieces being performed are Elgar’s The Snow, Taverner’s The Lamb, Rutter’s Star Carol and Chilcott’s A Boy is Born.
Since it is Christmas, all tickets are £10 (under-16s £2). They are available from any choir member, the TIC or Tickets usually sell fast for this concert so don’t delay.
