Family history talk
At the meeting of Alsager Family History Group on Monday, 18th November, Elizabeth Morris will dress in costume to tell Tales From The Workhouse: Lizzie’s Story. Lizzie describes her true-life experiences of the Northwich Union Workhouse at the end of the 19th century.
Topics to be covered in the new year include investigating the wider aspects of ancestors’ lives; Congleton’s forgotten suffragist Elizabeth Wolstenholme-Elmy; the Mainwarings of Peover Hall; 19th century printed maps, and the diaries of Ernest Wakefield of Sandbach.
