Cheshire East Council rangers are running Moorland Adventure summer kids activity clubs on weekdays next week.
Each day has different activities to give children a taste of adventure. The events are suitable for kids aged eight to 16. Booking and payment in advance is essential.
The itinerary is: Monday: archery and bushcraft; Tuesday: climbing and abseiling; Wednesday: canoeing / kayaking and raft building at Rudyard Lake; Thursday: climbing and scrambling at The Roaches: Friday: challenge day — abseiling, climbing, orienteering and problem solving. All Wednesday participants must be “water confident”.
The cost is £35 per day or £150 for all five days.
Activities run from 9am to 4pm but children can be dropped from 8.30am and collected at any time between 4pm and 5pm.
They should take a packed lunch and drinks each day, or parents can purchase a packed lunch option (including sandwich, drink and snack) from Tegg’s Nose Tea Room on days one, two and five, for £5.
Breakfast and afternoon snacks are also available to purchase from the tearoom before and after the activity club sessions on days one, two and five.
To book, visit moorlandadventure.co.uk, search for “summer kids activity club 2018” or call 01625 573615.
