Bedtime stories, hot chocolate and marshmallows are the order of service at St Mary’s Church, Astbury, on Sunday.
At 6pm, there will be a special service for families in a cushion-filled tent illuminated by fairy lights.
Half an hour of bedtime stories is followed by hot chocolate and marshmallows. Children may wear PJs and take a teddy bear or soft toy.
The service is aimed at pre-school and key stage one age groups, but older children regularly join in with reading stories.
It is followed at 7pm by Compline, a short monastic service of night prayer, to which all are welcome. More details are available online at astburychurch.org.uk
