The next act to perform at the Cuckoo’s Nest Folk Club, is Bernard Wrigley, affectionately known as “The Bolton Bullfrog”.
Wrigley has been delighting audiences for 50 years and forged a reputation with seriously daft songs and humorous monologues, together with a respected ability on the guitar.
He’s an actor as well as a singer and storyteller. Barry Clegg — the hapless rocket builder whose wife Lisa left him for Zak Dingle in Emmerdale, three episodes of complaining in Dinner Ladies with Victoria Wood, and then Dodgy Eric in Phoenix Nights with Peter Kay, where he insisted that Brian Potter hire a bouncy castle with a 15-foot phallic extension.
