Rewind, Capesthorne Hall’s 80s music festival, has announced the headline DJs for the all-new Club Tropicana tent (where the drinks aren’t free!).
Club Tropicana will be headlined by Pat Sharp on Friday, Gary Davies on Saturday and Stoke’s Bruno Brooks on Sunday.
Club Tropicana is new for 2020, and is a club under a big top tent. Expect the evening’s entertainment to feature live performances, special guests, bespoke stage set, 80s inspired décor and special effects.
Friday, 31st July sees Rewind North return to Capesthorne Hall. The festival will close on Saturday with Jimmy Somerville’s Big Band-Tastic Boogie — a show especially created for the festival — and Wet Wet Wet on the Sunday.
The festival will be opened by a unique show celebrating 50 years since the formation of one of the world’s greatest rock bands, Queen. Queen Symphonic features a full symphony orchestra, a rock band and four soloists from the international productions of the musical We Will Rock You performing some of Queen’s greatest hits.
Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Heather Small, Shalamar featuring Howard Hewett, Jeffrey Daniel and Carolyn Griffey, Nik Kershaw, Heaven 17, Go West, Altered Images, Katrina from Katrina and The Waves, and China Crisis will all play on the main stage.
Also new in 2020 is the Electro Picture Lounge, a place to chill out watching classic 80s videos, documentaries and classic film footage. Back by popular demand are the infamous Inflatable Church and the Silent Disco.
