Tenorman Liam at jazz society
On Friday, 22nd November, popular tenorman Liam Byrne returns to the Alsager Golf and Country Club Jazz Society stage.
Byrne has a growing reputation as a torchbearer of the jazz tenor saxophone tradition, with a warm sound and understated approach inspired by the likes of Lester Young and Ben Webster. He has performed alongside leading British jazz musicians including Alan Barnes, Digby Fairweather, Bruce Adams and Roy Williams.
The band will also feature the ever-popular Dave McGarry on piano along with regular house bassist Nigel Cartwright and drummer Roger Keay.
It starts at 8pm at the golf club (ST7 2UR). All are welcome and admission is £4.
