Thin Lizzy tribute
Thin Lizzy drummer Brian Downey and his band Alive And Dangerous are to perform Thin Lizzy’s Live And Dangerous? in its entirety in Stoke this autumn.
Downey is touring the UK in September and October to perform the 40th anniversary of Thin Lizzy’s iconic live album. The album is generally said to be one of the greatest live albums of all time.
Alive And Dangerous features Brian Grace (best known as the guitarist for the Commitments, Andrew Strong), and former Low Rider band members Matt Wilson (lead vocals, bass), and Phil Edgar (lead guitar).
They play Stoke, Eleven on Thursday, 27th September, one of only four dates, the others being London, Wolverhampton’s Robin2 on Saturday, 29th September and Glasgow.
Thin Lizzy did not play Stoke on the Live And Dangerous tour in 1978 but did play Trentham Gardens in 1979, when tickets were £3.50!
