Treasure hunts

There are teddy bear treasure hunts at two local beauty spots next week.
On Monday, there is a hunt at Tegg’s Nose Country Park and on Tuesday at Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve.
Both events are family adventure walks, hunting out clues in search of teddy’s golden treasure. Youngsters can learn about nature and wildlife in a hands-on, fun-packed session for families.
Children should take along a teddy or cuddly toy. Booking and payment in advance is essential; the cost is £6.50 per child.
The events run from 10am to noon. The Tegg’s Nose event starts from the country park visitor centre, Buxton Old Road, Macclesfield (SK11 0AP). Booking is via; search for “teddy bear treasure hunt at Teggs Nose Country Park”.
The event is suitable for children aged between five and 10.
The Brereton Heath event starts from the visitor centre, Davenport Lane, Brereton (CW12 4SU).

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
