Mr GR Veit

The funeral service took place on 12th February of Mr George Veit, of Congleton, who died peacefully on 24th January at Astbury Mere Care Home, aged 82.
Mr Geoffrey Scott conducted the funeral service at St John’s Church, Congleton, where organist Mr B Hall accompanied the mourners as they sang All Things Bright and Beautiful and Abide With Me before mourners left the church to Love Never Dies.
Mourners were: Mr A Veit (son), Mrs S Brooks (daughter), Mr D Brooks (son-in-law), Mr and Mrs CJ Brooks (grandson, rep Louie and Edith, great-grandchildren), Mr and Mrs R Hammond (granddaughter, rep Evie, Charlie and Freddie, great-grandchildren), Mrs C Thompson (niece), Mrs A Barnett (rep Mr K Barnett, Miss H Barnett and Miss E Barnett), Miss D Thompson (rep Mr R Pedley, Miss M Pedley and Miss J Pedley), Miss J Clark (rep Astbury Mere Care Home).
Mr F Dean (rep Mrs M Dean), Mrs N Holland, Mrs K Hayes (rep MKR Electronics), Mrs T Thorley, Mr C Hill, Mr G Hill (rep Mr and Mrs Leek and Mr and Mrs S Naylor), Mr J Barlow, Mr R Ashmore, (rep Mr A Ashmore, brother-in-law) and Mrs J Ashmore (sister-in-law), Mr P Lucas (nephew), Miss A Bowen (niece, rep Mrs U Lucas, sister-in-law), Mr CP Veit (nephew), Mr P Barlow, Mrs J Barlow, Mrs V Barlow (rep Chris, Noah and Georgia).
The bearers were Messrs D Brooks, CJ Brooks and R Hammond.
Messrs John Garside and Son, of Congleton, were the funeral furnishers.
