Mrs J Beresford

The funeral took place on Tuesday, 3rd December, of Mrs Jean Beresford, aged 77, who died at Royal Stoke University Hospital on 11th November. 
Mr Geoffrey Scott conducted the service at St Stephen’s Church, Congleton. The organist Mrs M Hollinshead accompanied mourners as they sang the hymns The Day Thou Gavest and Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace.
Mourners entered the church to Something’s Gotten Hold Of My Heart by Gene Pitney, and mourners exited to Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison.
Mourners were: Mr Mrs C and DR Walden (daughter and son-in-law, rep Master A Walden (grandson), Mr R Beresford (son); Miss S Beresford, Mr D Beresford and Ms H Clements (grandchildren); Master F Beresford (great grandson), Mr, Mrs W and B Boden (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Mr J Beresford (brother-in-law, rep Mrs M Turnock, Mr J Beresford and Mrs C Speakman).
Mourners who met the church were: Mrs C Beresford (sister-in-law); Miss T Brookes, Mrs L Thomason, Mr, Mrs G and K Brookes, Mr S Hulme (rep Mrs L Hulme and Miss K Hulme), Mr, Mrs W and M Boden and Mr, Mrs A and D Boden (nephews and nieces); Miss H McGregor, Mrs N Boden, Ms J Forster, Mr A O’Donaghue (rep Mr R Whitehurst), Mr D Stoker, Mr C Braine, Mrs K Roberts.
The funeral service was arranged by John Garside and son Funeral Directors, Mountbatten House, Stonehouse Green, Congleton, who also supplied the bearers.
