A Simple Soul....12th September, 2019

PRICES: a thought struck me the other morning, over my brew and a couple of chocolate Oaties. We are all used to seeing the supermarkets and other large retailers telling us all about price cuts. Save, save, save, they tell us. It seems strange then that they never tell us when items actually go up in price. No doubt these items are dearer to cover the reductions in the stuff they tell us they have cut the price of. No-one at a local supermarket advised me that bread had gone up 20p a loaf and that tins of my favourite meat had gone up by 10p. No signs telling of price rises but plenty advising price cuts.
