Act quickly when reporting to BTP
Dear Sir, — Last year you ran a story after my bicycle was stolen from Sandbach Station.
I have just heard back from the British Transport Police that as all the cctv footage was deleted before they looked at it, they have closed their file.
Through social media I was able to find out that the bike was taken from Sandbach Station about 1.30om or 2pm on 31st October, 2019, by three young lads (15/16 years old), who took it to the back of Sandbach Park behind the tennis courts, where the back pannier, mudguard, gear and brake cables were cut off using a hack saw. Then in the early hours of Friday morning it was taken to Orchard Close and dumped. The repairs cost over £200, but I do have my bike back.
