Actions of PCC understandable
Dear Sir, — When last week’s extended editorial eventually homed in on its subject, it turned out it was one which has been bugging you for several weeks: the failure of the left to criticise police and crime commissioner David Keane’s failed investigation into allegations of misconduct on the part of former Chief Constable Simon Byrne.
That seems a bit disingenuous from a hard-bitten newshound like yourself. After all, you often criticise the actions of Conservative councils, but I’ve yet to see any serious complaints about them from Conservative readers.
