All it takes is a bit of tolerance
Dear Sir, — I always enjoy letters sent in by Graham Goodwin and Neville Price (Chronicle 6th February) — never knowingly understated!
I would agree with their view on perceived over-emphasis on provision for cycling but for the fact that, taking my home town, Sandbach, as an example, in 2015 there were 8,000 dwellings, and, as at this time last year, planning approval for another 3,000 — many of which are now built or in progress.
That introduces a 40% increase in population, consequent car use, with a commensurate impact on congestion and parking.
