All welcome to talk on James Brindley

Dear Sir, — I would like to draw readers’ attention to a very interesting talk/dramatised presentation portraying the life and times of the renowned Leek based millwright and pioneering canal engineer James Brindley.
This will be presented by local author and historian Bill Ridgway, and friends, at Congleton Library (lower ground floor entry by the bus terminal) on Wednesday, 13th November at 7.30pm to 9pm.
This is one of a season of talks on local interests arranged monthly by Congleton History Society, and we welcome both members and visitors to come along and enjoy what will be a very interesting evening.
Visitors are charged £3 per talk, or they can become a member of the history society for £10 for a full season, covering talks from September ‘til May the following year. — Yours faithfully,

RON RENSHAW
Congleton History Society.
