An issue for all representatives
Dear Sir, — Having read all the literature posted through the door in the run-up to the local elections it seems all the candidates pay lip service to the environment and green open spaces.
So why, more than seven years since 40 tons of industrial waste was illegally tipped on the dye works site situated on the approach to the garden town of Biddulph, has nothing been done about it?
If I started an industrial tip on my land I would be served an enforcement notice to remove it on planning laws and environmental issues and made to clear it.
