Another Week - 6th September, 2018

September 1918 and victory was in sight: “After a long night of trial and difficulty the dawn of success has now begun to break for the allies,” we wrote, “and it will broaden gradually to the full daylight of peace and victory”.
We said we had good reason to be cheerful and confident, with the might of the United States being thrown into the conflict, which meant renewed spirit of hope and determination among all the nations leagued against Germany.
