Dear Sir, — Congleton Bath House and Physic Garden may be familiar to some of your readers.
Nestled at the top of part of the original gardens of Bradshaw House in Lawton Street, the 200-year-old two-storey Georgian plunge pool was restored nearly 20 years ago and the derelict gardens have been rescued and restored as a delightful green space in the centre of town, open to all every day of the year.
Quite a number of our many visitors, some of them lifelong Congletonians, have talked with us about their early memories of the land and the building before its restoration in 2000 and we would love to have the opportunity to learn more about these so that they can be recorded as part of the town’s history.
