Brexit was a focus for nation’s anger
Dear Sir, — In a previous letter, I suggested that some of the money allocated for investment by the local council should be allocated to residents for matched funding. It would be an investment with more guarantee of an immediate return on a project that has received public approval through consultation.
Such funding would demonstrate commitment to neighbourhood plans and ,more importantly, be an investment in people, which is noticeably absent in some areas of life in this nation.
Aspirations of a fair and just society are failing because of the lack of investment in the recruitment and training of people.
