Change already proving beneficial
Dear Sir, — It would appear that May’s change in the administration at Cheshire East is already starting to prove beneficial to the previous hard-hit council tax payer of the borough.
I know that since the arm’s-length companies owned by the borough council came into existence I have sent in a number of letters questioning the cost of them to the council taxpayers. I know once I sent in a freedom of information request to the council asking for the detail cost of these companies and how often they met. The only response I got was to look in the council budget and go onto Companies House website. That told me they were costing too much money and lacked any scrutiny.
