Charter market is being disregarded
Dear Sir, — I write in connection with a letter submitted by Jenny Unsworth in last week’s Chronicle.
We view the ability to submit articles to the letters page of the Chronicle as a vital way of keeping the people of Congleton informed as to what is happening in our local community and to hold to account our elected representatives in order to deliver better outcomes for us all.
Most letters submitted are certainly not a “flurry of activity” or “self-publicity” prior to the local government elections, but continuations of long-standing campaigns by people with very deep conviction and commitment to the topics on which they comment.
