Church recognises need for friendship

Dear Sir, — At Wellspring Methodist Church, just off Canal Road in Congleton, we have been in the process of looking at developing our presence in the community.
As part of this development we recognise the need for friendship and companionship.
In response to this need we have set up a weekly drop-in for people who may find themselves feeling lonely or in want of company.
This may be someone who cares for a loved one, someone widowed, a single mum or dad, someone new to the area, or even someone with a family who finds the evenings hectic and the days long and empty.
While we cannot offer an answer or a solution to everyone’s problems we are happy to open our doors to welcome people in every Wednesday morning from 9am – noon.
We have free tea and coffee, toast, biscuits, boardgames, puzzles and good old conversation in a relaxed atmosphere to share with anyone who would like to drop in.
We are there just for you. — Yours faithfully,

IAN MAYER
