Council has hit the nail on the head 

Dear Sir, — Your front page headline in last week’s Chronicle regarding the Cheshire East Council’s challenge to the Sandbach traffic study made interesting reading and Sandbach Town Council really has hit the nail on the head when it rejected the latest response letter from the director of highways and infrastructure. 
Cheshire East Council believes that there is no need for a further independent investigation into a report that seriously understated traffic levels, and which was instrumental in convincing the local plan inspector that there were no traffic problems on the A533/34 corridor through Sandbach from Elworth to junction 17 of the M6 motorway.
