Delay to Brexit is Remainers’ fault
Dear Sir, — Has MP democracy gone out of the window as far as MPs supporting the will of their constituents?
I cannot understand all of the Parliamentary debates, especially the opposition to our withdrawal as the MPs, in my opinion, irrespective of their party, should have adopted the democratic opinion of their constituency.
In all, there were 399 regions: 128 voted remain, 271 voted leave.
When the information was analysed, by constituency 406 voted to leave and 242 voted to remain. These figures are broadly in line with the best estimates available, based on the seats parties won in the 2015 general election, although the numbers are not quite perfect, considering that there are 650 constituencies in the UK, but the figures add up to 648.
