Brexit continues to dominate the news — Coleen Rooney’s unmasking of the person allegedly selling her secrets to The Sun aside — and as 31st October approaches, it’s going to be more so.
Given that many Remainers accept the referendum should be adhered to, their respect for democracy overcoming their dislike for the result, and that Boris Johnson said he’d rather be found dead in a ditch than ask for extension, it’s hard to predict what will happen. Mind, the prime minster doesn’t honour anything he says, so “dead in a ditch” could morph into “sitting drinking canapes on a Greek island after resigning” and a claim that this was always his intention, as he’d made clear by use of the word “ditch”.
