It would be nice to have a week or two off from criticising Cheshire East Council, but it seems incapable of avoiding trouble: as we commented the other week, if it sees fresh fields and sunshine one way and dung the other, there’s only one way it’s going to go. And it’s not going to smell of newly-mown grass afterwards.
Leader Rachel Bailey must be regretting her promise to be “robust and transparent” and “(put) as much information as we can in the public domain”, as the council seems to be neither robust nor open.
