Elevated link road will be more visible
Dear Sir, — I am writing in relation to the design and construction of the Sandy Lane section of Congleton by-pass.
It has become apparent as construction has progressed that the design of the road will be elevated, significantly higher than the existing Sandy Lane, and will be visible and no doubt audible once completed over a significant area.
The design is wholly inappropriate; it will appear, once complete, more like a flyover, towering over existing hedgerows and trees to the detriment of local homeowners, many of whom are new to the area, but also elevated so that the road will be visible from views to the west of the road.
