Importance of non-car space on roads
Dear Sir, — I’d like to pick up on Matthias Bunte’s letter in last week’s Chronicle concerning non-car facilities on the Congleton Link Road.
It is essential that there is ample space for both pedestrians and cyclists along the whole length. If the width is adequate, one side should be sufficient and certainly cheaper and less invasive of land than two for the same overall width.
