Killer Mile a great success

Dear Sir, — Please can I though your paper say a huge thank you to everybody who helped with the Mow Cop Killer Mile on 9th May.
It was a great success and even though it was gently raining loads of runners and spectators turned out.
Mow Cop Runners did a brilliant job of organising it and Tesco Kidsgrove gave everyone some water, fruit and other things for free. Kompan, the company that makes playgrounds for schools and councils, donated 100 goody bags to the under 12s who finished. Odd Rode Parish Council helped with a grant and Kidsgrove Rotary helped with marshalling and there was tea/coffee/cake and T-shirts for the Killer Mile in the Mow Cop Community church. A great time was had by all. — Yours faithfully,

MARION COOK
