Labour wanted to halt charges rise
Dear Sir, — At the full meeting of Cheshire East Council on Thursday, 21st February, our Conservative councillors opposed a Labour proposal to halt planned increases in parking charges across Cheshire East, hence increasing the cost of parking in our local car parks for us all.
At a time when both our town centre and family finances are under strain, it is abhorrent to me that our local Conservative councillors would inflict this on the residents and industries they were elected to represent. These plans are a further blow to both and it is my belief that blanket parking charge increases must be stopped.
