Dear Sir, — The latest figures show that 25% of children living in Congleton West and 30% of children living in the Congleton East ward now live in relative poverty (after housing costs).
In many parts of the country, living in poverty has become normalised, and the figures are rising.
Children born into poor families are more likely to suffer with mental health problems and underachieve at school.
