Lay-by should not be a cemetery spot
Dear Sir, — While sitting in the Mow Cop lay-by, I can’t help wondering to myself, why has it now turned into a floral tribute, memorial, cemetery-type area instead of the beauty spot that it has been for so many years?
Stunning views on a sunny day are now spoiled by a cheap and tatty-looking selection of plastic flowers, wooden posts to stick them onto, ribbons and many more non-biodegradable objects. In my opinion, this should surely be classed as litter.
