Let us hope that history is repeated

Dear Sir, — At the 1976 Conservative Party Conference, Michael Heseltine described the then Labour government as “a one-legged army limping away from the storm they had created left, left, left, left, left, left, left.”
No doubt now Lord Heseltine thinks that the words “a one-legged army limping away from the storm they have created right, right, right, right, right, right, right” applies to our current fanatical government.
On appointment as prime minister, Johnson, hired the truly appalling Dominic Cummings as his chief adviser. This was an outrageous decision given that this March, Cummings, the former director of the official Vote Leave campaign, was ruled to be in contempt of Parliament by the House of Commons Privileges Committee because he had refused to give oral evidence to MPs. investigating fake news.
