Lib Dems provide the best opposition
Dear Sir, — I hope people will turn out to vote in the local elections and think locally.
This may be difficult because a shambolic central government is affecting local government.
The last three Cheshire East council tax increases have been 3%, 6% and 5% — described by some Conservatives as a low increase, but forced on them by Conservative central government cuts.
There has been much criticism about the way Cheshire East has been run, but the largest opposition party, Labour, is not blameless.
