MP increased her  majority by 3,000

Dear Sir, — Having regard to the letter from Coun Michael Unett, chair of Congleton Constituency Labour Party in last week’s Chronicle, would someone like to point out to him that we recently had a general election and the Labour Party was trounced in the Congleton constituency, and most of the rest of the country?
Fiona Bruce, the MP for Congleton, increased her majority by over 3,000 votes.
In the light of this information, is Coun Unett suggesting that the Congleton electorate didn’t know what it was doing by deciding to give Fiona Bruce such strong support? — Yours faithfully,

RS NORBURY
