My grandmother was fustian cutter
Dear Sir, — Last week’s Chronicling The Past article about fustian cutting in Congleton was of particular interest to me.
My grandmother Annie Charlesworth was employed at the Royle Street mill shown in your photo, at the time the photo would have been taken. I remember seeing her at work when my mother and I called at the mill. I was just a young boy at the time (probably around 1952/53).
