New EU resolution revises history
Dear Sir, — A resolution was passed last month in the European Parliament on the importance of European Remembrance for the future of Europe. It was supported by all Labour MEPs, including those in the North West.
It’s vital that we remember the victims and the crimes of aggression and genocide during WWII, but in our view this resolution reflects neither the historic reality of the war, nor the responsibility that should be ascribed for its outbreak or conclusion.
