Out of touch with what young want
Dear Sir, — I start with Andrew Hart’s words “Never will so much be claimed by so few that do so very little.” Quite some statement! Well, when the last tree falls, the last drop of drinking water runs dry and the last field of crops fails, at least you can eat your money — for all the good that will do.
Tearing up land that is greenbelt is criminal. It is not about views or de-valuing house prices and raising revenue from business rates; it’s about the loss of habitat, the death of animals, the loss of trees that turn the poisons mankind produces into oxygen.
