Prime minister’s double standards

Dear Sir, — We have been told by this Government and by Brexiteers that the result of the EU referendum in June 2016, whereby 51.9% of voters voted to leave the EU, was the “will of the people” and that it is an irrevocable decision.
Even though it has become clear that Vote Leave achieved its narrow victory as a result of its campaign leaders stating false slogans such as £350m per week for the NHS and that Turkey was about to join the EU, we were told “the people have spoken” and that this could not be revisited, Then, it was revealed that the organisations which campaigned for leaving the EU, Vote Leave, BeLeave and Leave.EU all broke the spending limits allowed by the Electoral Commission.
