RBL branch needs more membersĀ

Dear Sir, — The Royal British Legion was formed in 1921 and Holmes Chapel Branch was formed in 1930. So we are 88 years old.
In 2021 the RBL will be 100 years old and, as with most things, it has changed for the better, helping serving and ex-serving people and their dependents with everything from financial problems and independent living, to care, recovery, respite and two weeks’ break in one of our Legion Break Homes, plus much more.
The RBL is concerned with making matters more bearable and being able to cope.
We have a web site britishlegion.org.uk or people can telephone 0800 802 8080.
All you have to do is ring and, if you qualify, the help is there.
We also raise money for the Poppy Appeal for two weeks of the year, selling poppies.
They will be everywhere and all we ask for is a donation.
You can even donate throughout the year.
Holmes Chapel Branch raised £6,100 last year, our highest total yet so a big thank you from us.
We are not just for old men, as they used to say, any longer. The RBL is there for all ages. There are many still serving our country and we would like to let them know we are still here for them.
Holmes Chapel is a small branch, and anyone can join.
You do not have to have served in one of our forces to join. We just need more members to help.
We are a long-serving charity and will continue for many years to come.
Please join us by doing your bit even if it’s only for two weeks of the year with our poppies. If you require any more information please ring 01477 534263 or visit the RBL web site which will answer your questions, and is so full of all the things the RBL do. – Yours faithfully,
