Remainer trying to impress Brexiters

Dear Sir, — I wonder how many people, if any, who voted to leave the EU could have predicted that over two and a half years later, a Socialist ideologist who is also a staunch Remainer would, as a matter of some highbrow historical interest, be expressing her gratitude to a thoughtful scholar named Thucydides for having recorded the war between Athens and Sparta which started in 431BC and lasted 30 years?
It would seem to me that Margaret Brown is attempting to overcome opposition to her anti-Brexit stance by introducing some intellectual garbage to the argument in the hope that she is right in her view that the EU supporters are better educated than their opponents and that they (her opponents) will be impressed by her level of knowledge.
