Repeatedly denied cuts to fire service
Dear Sir, — This week, Sir Martin Moore-Bick, the chair of the inquiry into the 2017 Grenfell fire tragedy, delivered the report into the events of that night in which 72 residents died.
The inquiry also considered the response of the London Fire Brigade and other emergency services which attended the fire scene that night.
In 2010, Mr Johnson, when mayor of London and whose responsibilities covered the London Fire Brigade, repeatedly denied that he had any plans to cut fire engines or fire stations.
