Safety at hospital trust requires improvement
The body that runs Congleton War Mem-orial and Macclesfield District General hospitals has been rated “good” by the Care Quality Commission, although safety was said to require improvement. The trust was rated as good overall at its last inspection.
East Cheshire NHS Trust underwent an inspection of its services and leadership team in June and July 2019.
The health watchdog rated 12 of the trust’s 13 services as good and one as requires improvement.
The report said most staff had training in key skills, understood how to protect patients from abuse, and managed safety well. The trust controlled infection risk well.
