Slavery was not invented by Britain
Dear Sir, — Why is it that whenever university students get their knickers in a twist about British history they always bring slavery into the mix and make us out to be the main reason for it ever happening?
Considering that these snowflakes have all the educational facilities that they could wish for, it seems strange that they don’t sit down and research the subject before pontificating about it.
Britain didn’t invent slavery and let’s face it we were instrumental in putting a stop to it, even going to war with America in an effort to stop the slave trade. So enter the Arabs. The Arabs started trading slaves as far back as the medieval period and it is estimated that some 17m people were sold into slavery on the coast of the Indian Ocean by Muslim slave traders between the 1500 and 1900.
