Social media trolls — read Desiderata 

Dear Sir, — I carried out a test during the election campaign. The Labour Party manifesto at ncla.uk was fully costed. I posted the manifesto costings online, but deliberately did not advertise the URL of the costings. Whenever anyone asked to see the costings on social media I asked them to email me and I committed to email back a spreadsheet containing the costings. Despite much prompting, only one person emailed me asking for the costings and (as far as I am aware) only one person has read the costings online. I draw the conclusion that most people simply want to know that the costings have been done, but are content not to go through the detailed numbers themselves.
