Some advice about being a councillor 

Dear Sir, — Some 25 years or so ago when I first became interest in the strange world of local politics I met Ann Winterton, then MP for the Congleton constituency. Ann gave me some good and very sound advice.
Ann explained that when or if you get elected to a local council make certain you look after all the residents of the ward you represent, and get seen in your ward by the residents.
