Speed humps may well be a solution
Dear Sir, — As a Lower Heath resident, I fully concur with the desire to provide more speed control measures as reported, but the Lower Heath area quoted in the article is in actual fact the main A34 road in and out of Congleton.
No consideration seems to have been given to Daisybank Drive, increasingly used as a rat run for cars avoiding the traffic on the A34.
Just this week a resident has reported two vehicles to the police for speeding down the hill at over 40mph and taking the bottom corner on the wrong side of the road. (Witnessed also by the crew of a fire tender parked on the road).
