Tactical voting and impact on Brexit 

Dear Sir, — Over the last weeks we have been inundated by elections and polls. 
At first sights the results are confusing. The local elections seem to show a clear swing to Remain parties, but voting intentions for the 23rd May European elections show a dizzying rise for Nigel Farage’s new Brexit Party. 
So deep do feelings run that many Conservatives at all levels intend to vote for it. It has seriously damaged both major parties.
We should be asking ourselves what the long-term future holds.
